FAQ

If you feel curious or drawn to explore working together, you’re welcome to reach out. We can begin with a brief introductory conversation to ask questions, clarify expectations, and sense whether this feels like a good fit.

There’s no obligation — just a simple first step to see what feels right for you.

What it is:

A brief, informal conversation to connect, ask questions, and clarify whether working together feels like a good fit. We’ll talk at a high level about what you’re looking for, how I work, and practical details such as availability and next steps.

What it isn’t:

It’s not a therapy session, assessment, or place to process personal history in depth. There’s no treatment, advice, or obligation to continue.

The intention is simply to offer clarity and a felt sense of whether this feels like a supportive next step for you.

You can expect a calm, respectful space where you’re met with presence and care. Our work unfolds at your pace, guided by what feels most relevant for you in the moment.

Together, we may reflect on patterns, inner responses, and lived experiences, with attention to both emotional and bodily awareness. The focus is on understanding, safety, and self-connection — not pressure or fixing.

The work I offer is supportive, reflective, and trauma-informed, grounded in presence, nervous-system awareness, and relational inquiry.

While my background includes clinical psychology and psychotherapy training, the sessions offered here are not positioned as medical treatment or crisis care. They are intended to support self-understanding, emotional awareness, and personal growth in a safe, respectful space.

If you’re unsure whether this approach is right for you, we can explore that together during an introductory conversation.

This work focuses on:

  • self-reflection and emotional awareness
  • understanding patterns shaped by past experiences
  • nervous-system regulation and body awareness
  • relational insight and self-connection

It does not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency services, and it is not designed for crisis intervention or acute mental health care.

I tend to work best with thoughtful, sensitive people who are curious about themselves and open to reflection. Many are empathic, responsible, and accustomed to holding a lot — emotionally, relationally, or practically — and are beginning to notice the cost of that pattern.

You may be someone who wants to understand yourself more clearly, relate to others with greater steadiness, and live with more presence and self-respect. You don’t need to be “ready” in a particular way — just willing to pause, notice, and engage honestly with your inner experience.

This work is for those who want to move away from living on autopilot and toward more awareness, choice, and connection — at a pace that feels sustainable.

If this resonates, you’re welcome to reach out and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.

This work may not be the right fit if you are currently seeking quick solutions, immediate relief, or a highly structured, directive approach.

It may also not be suitable if you are in acute crisis, need emergency support, or are looking for diagnosis, medication management, or clinical treatment plans.

This approach is best suited for people who are open to reflection, pacing, and a collaborative process, and who value presence and self-inquiry over urgency or fixing.

If you’re unsure, we can talk through your needs together and explore what kind of support might feel most appropriate.

This work may not be the best fit if you are:

  • currently experiencing a mental health crisis
  • in need of emergency or inpatient support
  • seeking diagnosis, medication management, or clinical treatment plans

If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help you think through what kind of support might be most appropriate.

The frequency of meetings is flexible and based on what feels supportive for you. Some people prefer to meet weekly at first, while others choose a bi-weekly rhythm or more occasional sessions.

We can check in over time and adjust the pace together, based on your needs and circumstances.

Sessions are available both online and in person at the office in Traverse City, Michigan. You’re welcome to choose the setting that feels most supportive for you, whether that’s meeting from your own space or in a shared, in-person setting.

Your privacy and confidentiality are respected in all sessions, both online and in person.

Many people find that meeting online allows for the same depth of presence and connection as in-person sessions, with the added ease of being in a familiar, comfortable environment.

What matters most is not the format, but the quality of attention, safety, and relationship. We’ll choose the option that best supports your needs and circumstances.

Rates are listed on the Services page for each offering. If you have questions or want help understanding which option might feel most appropriate, you’re welcome to reach out.

I’m happy to clarify details and walk you through the options so you can choose what feels right for you.

I do not accept insurance, and services are offered on a private-pay basis. This allows the work to remain flexible, individualized, and not constrained by third-party requirements.

Payment options:

Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo

Payment is due at the time of the session. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so the time can be offered to someone else.

Choice, consent, and pacing are central.

You are always invited — never pushed — to share, reflect, or participate.

You’re welcome to speak, pause, or simply listen to what’s happening inside. This work respects your autonomy and inner timing.

No. Many people come without a diagnosis or a clearly defined “problem.”

You may simply feel disconnected, overwhelmed, at a transition point, or curious about understanding yourself more deeply. That is enough to begin a conversation.

You can reach out using the contact form or email me directly. I personally read each message and will reply with available times.

If we decide to move forward, I’ll share the next steps and any information you’ll need before our first meeting.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes, with extended sessions available upon request for deeper, spacious work.

Sessions are held as a calm, respectful space where your experience is met with care and attention. You’re invited to engage at your own pace, with choice and consent guiding the process.

  • We work primarily in the present moment, noticing emotional and bodily responses as they arise
  • Attention to breath and body awareness may be gently integrated to support grounding
  • Patience and pacing matter — this is a process that unfolds over time
  • You are always welcome to pause, ask questions, or name what feels supportive or not

Sessions are held with care for privacy and confidentiality.

Meetings are available both online and in person, depending on what works best for you.
