We keep so many things untold. And our heart becomes a cage.
We keep so many memories hidden. And our body becomes the way we carry our past into the future. With pain, wounds, scars.
We don't talk about things that hurt. Things that make us feel ashamed, guilty, sad.
We keep so many stories locked inside us and our life becomes a prison.
We fear talking about things that make us feel uncomfortable.
We fear rejection and judgment.
We fear to open up our hearts because there is our soft place. It is raw and vulnerable. Exactly that place in us was so hurt. And we have learned that being vulnerable is not safe.
That made us close all that hurts in silence. We have learned that speaking is not safe.
It takes so much patience, gentleness, and compassion to make someone feel safe again.
It takes time and love to make someone trust that silence is just a protection, and that having a voice is that brave and vulnerable thing that frees yourself from it.
Safety cannot be faked and it is the most valuable gift you can give to someone who needs that space to talk about all these things they don't talk about.
I feel safe with you is the most beautiful declaration!
Making someone feel safe around you is the most precious gift you can give to someone!
Let me ask you:
🔥What makes you feel safe around someone?
Because when we feel safe, words find their way out of silence.
Stories find their way into light.
And hearts remember that vulnerability is not weakness, it is the doorway to freedom, intimacy, and healing.
May you always find the people who make you feel safe enough to speak your truth.
May you be that presence for others, too.
May silence turn into trust, and trust into love.
With love,
Aniela🤍
